Coronavirus FAQs - For Our Clients
We have received a number of enquiries from clients regarding their upcoming events. We appreciate the current situation and uncertainty is likely to be causing some anxiety so we wanted to get some information out to help you with planning. We've answered some of the questions we've been asked below and are here to help if you'd like to chat further. Please email info@elizabethjamesevents.co.uk or phone 0800 975 0265.
Our event is going ahead as planned - are you still happy to deliver and set up our items?
Yes, for events that are able to go ahead we're still pressing ahead with the planning side. We don't anticipate there being an issue with fulfilling bookings when venues are allowed to be open and hosting events. For the immediate future it's likely all events will be cancelled as we anticipate all venues closing in line with government guidance and we'll be looking to accommodate your new date.
I am considering rescheduling my event - am I able to change the date we have booked?
We're very keen to help in this scenario and will do all we can to accommodate rescheduling dates. If you are considering postponing your event please contact us at the earliest opportunity.
What happens if the government or local authority stop social gatherings?
In this scenario if your event falls in the 'lockdown' period the Force Majeure clause applies and no party will be liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations. We will be happy to transfer the deposit you have paid to a new date of your choosing.
Is there any other help or guidance you can provide?
We're following the government's advice and announcements and given the restrictions on bars and restaurants at the moment we anticipate events have to be rescheduled if they are in the very near future.
For summer dates if you would like to stick with them for now that's absolutely fine with us - if as we get closer it looks as though government restrictions will prevent events taking place, we will still be able to accommodate rescheduling.
We've seen Guides For Brides have published a coronavirus blog and this maybe worth reading and following for updates if you have an upcoming wedding: Guides For Brides Coronavirus Updates
We'd also recommend you stay in close contact with your venue - they will be very much aware of any restrictions to events taking place and will obviously be key if you do have to reschedule.
We're here to help however and whenever we can so please do get in touch if you have any questions or would like to discuss your event. Email info@elizabethjamesevents.co.uk or phone: 0800 975 0265.
Take good care of yourselves and we very much look forward to delivering you top quality decor when it comes to your big day!
